In the Doom 3 menu in “settings” under “controls”, you have to select “enabled” for controller. So select Doom 3, then go to: settings>controls>enabled. You have to do it with the mouse the first time but after that the controller will work and will be saved. I’m using a PS4 controller running DS4win (with it set to “hide DS4”). If using a DS4 controller you have to click the check box to hide the DS4 controller to make it look like an Xbox controller.
