Just read the news for it. I already bought the game, but my retardbox 360 decided to scratch it, so gave it to my friend and bought the limited edition (whoo, already $140 spent). Then bought all the DLC (about another $30+) while waiting for the last car pack (to 'be released in summer'). Now they want another $20+ outa me and other people who did the same/almost the same thing as I did for 10 other cars that were meant to be released in DLC. GT is now my most favored racing series.

All Turn 10 does is push more and more games and DLC out (hmmm, like Activision with MW2). I wish I could get something in return.but it ain't gonna happen. Now I'm an official GT fanboy. I'm a huge GT and Forza fan but I'm not a big fan of games in general being re-released with all the content not too much later on for much cheaper. Early buyers feel jipped with the only real pro being they played the game/DLC earlier. It has it's advantages and disadvantages I guess. I do buy a lot of games used much later simply because I'm multiplat and have backlogs of games.

T10's Forza 3 isn't the first title to do this though. Forza 2 did it, just as RE5 gold edition, Gears of War, Fallout 3 and soon to come Uncharted 2 (and a lot of other games too.) It gets late bloomers in the door and funds go to the developer rather than some GameStop company. As an LE day 1 FM3 buyer who's purchased every DLC except 2, also day 1 FM2 buyer who's purchased every DLC, also (post launch) FM1 buyer. I don't mind too much this direction. In a way it was expected after FM2.

I did expect a bit more out of being a VIP with the LE purchase though. I don't think it's been made official yet but I'm not a fan of having cars apparently not available unless you purchase this Ultimate pack. I'm still waiting for the Jalopnik pack as is! About Goty editions, i love them, i prefer having all these things in a disc because years later im sure the will plug the xbox 360 too and i wont be able to redownload the DLC, plus i can just install it in as many consoles i want without transfering issues.

I already know that some games are going to get goty editions and im paying to play the DLC avaible before others, so i dont mind that those who waited get sweet deals, im not an envy person. Plus it happens with the hardware, the cars, etc. Those who way normally pay less. What i dont like and i dont agree with is this and super street fighter 4 type of goty, the ones that left you without the contents unless you rebuy the game, im expecting that Turn10 and/or MS comes to their senses and release this as other DLCs. By the way, im not excusing Turn10 but even Polyphony has give you a few of this from time to time, with the whole GT4 movile for PSP that was showed like a very advanced stage product and end up been vaporware until Sony needed to sell another model of PSP, then was quick striped port. GT4 online which was cutted little time before the release and then promissed as an addon, we only end up with a lame beta for asia, finally the whole standard cars.

Now we are all waiting for GT5 as it seems a great game, i hope Turn10 release a great game too and left behind the whole lack of lobbies, PI problems and the jalopnik thing behind too. Click to expand.Yeah, that's the thing. The people at T10 are working hard and I have huge respect for them. We know that Microsoft wanted a solid release date for Forza 3, regardless of it's state of completion it seems. They didn't even have time to put in the gear shift animation, since it was added with a patch a month later. They've built something great and finally given GT some competition. But way MS are handling all this, is just proof that they don't understand creative work and should let the developers do their thing and then milk the franchise any way they can. There would have to be a download of some kind so the exclusive cars don't appear as the black Bora online, so why offer it free when they know existing users will pay money for the DLC?

And the first FM3 disc is full, so all of the DLC will be on disc two and therefore the saves won't be different. One thing I don't get is the people who are complaining about being gipped. I bought the game under the apparently mistaken impression that the game had already been released. I wasn't expecting it to be released again with new content exclusive to the second release which serves no purpose other than to punish those who already bought the game. Well, I take that back.

It does serve a purpose which is to milk more money out of the Forza community. If Turn 10's shady marketing practices fly with the long time Forza fans, then great. But I'm going back to Polyphony Digital when GT5 comes out.
