I bought the bass at a going out of busness sale at a local store. This was my first bass. I have been playing for about a year and ahalf. I also have a fender p-bass, and a j-bass. I love my ibenez It is lighter than the fenders and the neck seams faster to me. The pickups work well for rock and country but I have to go to my fender for playing funk (pop and slap).

The 400 I have to slap a little harder but it sounds ok. Over all it is a great bass for a great price. I started out on this bass and still play it evertday. Rock on and DRIVE HARD tnp. I bought this bass about a month ago, and could not be happier with it. It had a great action right out of the box, is lightweight but sturdy, the thin neck makes for fast playing, and it looks great. Got the Charcoal Brown.

Has a 'Satin' type finish that doesn't show smudges or fingerprint. But best of all, this thing sounds GREAT.

Very light and incredibly comfortable to play with clean, bright tone with plenty of punch and resonance. The neck is slim and very fast, and the cutaway on the lower body helps fast riffing on the upper frets. Pickups are great, the passive humbuckers actually put out more sound than the active EMGs on my other bass.

This thing can handle anything from low, growling blues licks to screaming rock lines, and all in between, but really excels in rock more than anything else.
